Inca Eco Blog Tour: Day 15 - Monarch Knitting and Quilts

Welcome to the last day of the Inca Eco Blog Tour!

We are thrilled to end our tour by stopping by Monarch Knitting and Quilts, a wonderful Galler Yarns retailer in Pacific Grove, California.

Monarch has been carrying Galler Yarns for the entire 15 years that they have been in business!  In addition to Inca Eco, the shop also carries AdorableAsana BulkyBelangor (TM)Flore II, Heather Prime Alpaca, Inca Cotton, and Prime Alpaca.

Monarch seems to have many customers who share well photographed projects on Ravelry, as evidenced by these two recent customer project posts on our blog.

According to owner Joan, the owner at Monarch:

We are very conscious of where our goods come from. We appreciate generations-old family businesses like Galler. We carry fair-trade items as much as possible. We don't carry stuff made in China. We ask questions of our wholesalers about the working conditions at their mills. We try to be planet friendly (we consider gas-guzzling "shop-hops" to be obscene). We want our dollars, and our customers' dollars, to count toward a better world.

We couldn't agree more, Joan!  You can find Monarch Knitting and Quilts online on their shop website and blog and on Yelp.  If you can't make it to the shop in person, you can also order by calling the shop's toll free number, 888-575-YARN (9276).

A little birdie told me that there is a lovely sample of Chloe by Never Knot Knitting in Inca Eco in the shop...

Stop by the Monarch Knitting blog today to see what else they are working on with Inca Eco!

The Inca Eco color of the day is Sage.  This is a great, earthy color.
